 BrightMo ELChopo was born 01/15/1984 in Detroit Michigan. He, his older brother, and half sister was raised by their single mom after his father left when ELChopo was a little boy. Tragedy would strike ELChopos family in 2016 when his older brother passed away after being in a coma due to a situation that happened at the Mound Correctional Facility. An incident that to this day has not been fully explained due to a possible police cover up. In the late 90's ELChopo began his love for rapping in the lunchroom of Henry Ford High School. While his classmates were battling other schools ELChopo only rapped for fun. His talent had his classmates encourage him to release a song so ELChopo released his first ever song via Myspace and SoundCloud. Since music wasn't putting food on the table yet ELChopo and his older brother as many urban youths do turned to local and out of state street hustling to make money. ELChopo would meet his first brush with the law when he was arrested in Jackson Michigan and was sentenced to 48 months in Prison on weapons charges. 5 years after his release is when ELChopo's brother would pass away due to his Coma. ELChopo took his brothers death hard being that his brother was not only his biggest fan and supporter but he was also ELChopos biggest investor helping fund his music career. ELChopo's musical inspiration came from such artists like 2pac, Biggie, Rakim, Big L, Nas, Scarface, Soldier Slim, and C murder. Even thou ELChopo started rapping at the age of 16 he didn't record his first studio track until his mid 20's. His biggest accomplishments to date was when he appeared in the hit movie 8 Mile starring Eninem as well as opened up for Redman and Methodman with his homie EDub back in 2002. His most recent performance was for 2Hot Radio in atlanta which was sponsored by Black Ink Atlanta. Before officially being a solo artist ELChopo was part of a group called "NBD" which stands for Nothing but Dogs. After leaving the group he started his own Label named "FastLife Records LLC" which is getting alot of buzz in the independent music scene. ELChopo is also currently forming a new group called "BMC" which stands for "BrightMo Committee". Along with the many tasks he has to handle running his own label ELChopo has released new singles entitled "Sign Myself" and "In the way" featuring Icewear Vezzo and Chedda Boy Malek. With several other collaborations and projects in the works like his "Money, Murder, Drugs" release and songs with featured artists Trell and Ritzz this is looking to be a Big year for BrightMo ELChopo and Fastlife Records LLC....Stay Tuned
